Leadership Conference Philanthropy
Project
As collegians throughout the country gather for the 2009 Norma Minch Andrisek Leadership Conference, we are providing an exciting opportunity for our membership to express the Delta Zeta commitment to service through our Leadership Conference Philanthropy Project.
This year, we will support the Hearing Speech & Deaf Center of Greater Cincinnati, which is a nonprofit organization that has been serving the greater Cincinnati area since 1925 by helping to empower individuals to overcome obstacles to communication. The center serves people with hearing loss, those with speech disorders and people who are deaf. Through our Leadership Philanthropy Project, we are encouraging our members to collect the following items to support their programs and the children they assist:
Craft items: Construction paper, markers, crayons, coloring
books, kids scissors, glue sticks, stickers, paint, colored
pencils, art supplies, etc. for their “Communication Camp”
Puzzles
Educational/language toys (Age 18 months – 6 years old)
Sticker books
Digital camera
Photo paper
Photo printer and ink
Gift cards to major (discount) stores such as Target, Wal-Mart,
Best Buy
Laptop computer
Leadership Conference attendees are encouraged to bring items from the wish list and deposit them in the collection boxes located at the Delta Zeta registration table. We will be presenting our collected items to the Hearing Speech & Deaf Center of Greater Cincinnati during the conference.
